Honour for Ronald Bourgeois

Ronald Bourgeois received the Order of Canada at Rideau Hall from the Governor General of Canada, Louise Arbour.

Ronald has dedicated his life to promoting and celebrating Acadian culture across the country. A multidisciplinary artist with a career spanning over 40 years, this pioneer of Acadian culture has distinguished himself in fields as diverse as songwriting, television show and series production, the coordination of cultural organizations, and the artistic direction of numerous artistic events.
